The Sonar Boardroom Table

Our first Special Project, the Sonar Table was commissioned by a company whose London HQ is housed in a remarkable repurposed Victorian courthouse.

Designed to accommodate 20 people, this monolithic is crafted fully in bronze-patinated steel and hand-finished with layer upon layer of beeswax.

Drawing inspiration from the courtroom’s richly detailed wood-panelled interiors, the table’s design echoes the rhythm and repetition of the panelling, creating a dialogue between furniture and architecture. The structured lines and refined materiality bring a sense of gravitas and permanence, while the waxed finish allows the patina to evolve subtly over time, adding to its richness.
