The Fulwell Wall Sconce draws its silhouette directly from the First World War Acoustic Mirror standing at Fulwell, Sunderland, one of only six remaining brutalist sound dishes in England.
Originally engineered to detect incoming airship attacks through parabolic sound reflection, its monumental functional geometry is reinterpreted here as a refined architectural light source.
Handcrafted in our North East studio, the sconce features a deeply etched brass dish that captures and diffuses warm light from an integrated LED halo. The interplay between the patinated metallic texture and soft indirect illumination creates a compelling focal point defined by shadow, depth, and historical weight.
