Our Blackened Brass is the darkest of our living finishes. Understated and elegant, it offers a quiet depth and sophistication that sits beautifully in both modern and traditional settings. As the most stable of our living patinas, it ages gently, retaining its character over time while still allowing subtle changes to emerge.

Brass does not rust like steel, making our Blackened Brass suitable for kitchens and bathrooms. In such environments it will respond naturally, and under the right conditions may even begin to develop verdigris. This is not a flaw, but part of the organic evolution of the material.

The waxed surface provides a limited barrier against tarnishing, though contact with hands, liquids, or cleaning products will accelerate localised ageing. This is to be expected and contributes to the graceful development of the finish.

Every Blackened Brass surface is hand-finished by our craftsmen. Subtle variation is inevitable and should be celebrated as part of what makes each piece unique and authentic.
