Dalmore Distillery Maps
NOVOCASTRIAN were commissioned by Jordan Design in 2019 to create a pair of decorative maps for the new visitor centre at the Dalmore whisky distillery in the Scottish highlands.
The maps play an important part in telling the Dalmore story. The first depicts the distillery’s historic home on the banks of Cromarty Firth, overlooking the Black Isle. The second is of the ‘Sherry Triangle of Spain’, from where Dalmore sources the coveted González Byass sherry casks for the ageing of its whisky.
Crafted from layers of hand-patinated solid brass, the maps are engraved with the paths of significant rivers and ferry routes, as well as the names of key towns, lochs and historical points of interest. Inset resin markers locate key places.
