Our Insulator Collection is inspired by the electrical insulators strung above Great Britain’s railways. Crafted from solid, machined brass and pressed glass. All hand-finished and assembled in our UK workshop.

All of our metal finishes are un-lacquered, and as such ‘living’. They will continue to evolve beautifully over time.

Custom finishes are available on request.

Can be wired for 120v and 240v systems. Dimmable when wired to a suitable driver.
Requires a G9 bulb.

Over years travelling back and forth to London on the East Coast mainline, the previously nondescript overhead electrical wiring began to reveal a hidden beauty. In particular, the forms of the ‘pin insulators’ began to command attention.

Their utilitarian yet beautifully-curving forms are generally in glass or ceramic, and they act to prevent the discharge of electrical current down the posts which support the overhead power cables.
