Fabricator / Metalworker

Our closely-knit team of designers and makers are looking for a talented time-served Fabricator / Metalworker to join us.

You must be confident in reading technical drawings, and in both MIG and TIG welding. We are looking for candidates who take pride in their work and are interested in making beautiful pieces. Any further experience in working with wood, glass or marble is a bonus.

We offer a competitive wage and paid overtime during busy periods. With a mix of our own product range and bespoke commissions, no two days are ever the same.

This role is based in Washington, North East England.

Working hours — 7:30am - 4:30pm, with a 1:30pm Friday finish.
Overtime — Paid at time-and-a-half
Holidays — 23 days holiday + bank holidays
Wage — Up to £15 per hour depending on experience

Essential traits and experience you should have —

  • A time-served metalworker

  • Passionate about your work

  • Experience in TIG welding to a high standard, experience with exotic metals is preferable

  • An ability to work from drawings with minimal instruction

  • An ability to problem solve

  • An ability to work to small tolerances on complex designs

  • Highly organised, punctual and reliable

  • Willing to improve and learn continually

  • Able to work effectively in a team

  • Able to work effectively individually

  • Excellent interpersonal skills

  • An ability to act effectively under pressure

  • Proactive attitude

  • Highly confident in communicating

  • An interest in designing & making

  • A driving license
